Remove Users from Course

Blackboard has a feature called “Remove Users from Course”. This feature allows the instructor o remove users from the course.
Please note that once the student is removed, all information connected to that student , such as gradebook, submitted assignments, and any postings in the discussion board, are removed also.

Below are the steps to remove a user from the course:

From the Control Panel:

  1. Click on Remove Users from Course. It is located under User Management.
  2. If the student’s username is available, click on the Username radio button and type it in. If only the full name is available, click on the Last Name radio button and type the last name). Then, click on the Search button. When the student’s name appears, check on it, type Yes, and hit the Submit button.

Q: Why would I use this tool?

A: You can use this tool to remove the open extended university who dropped the course.

Q: Should I remove the student who dropped the class through BroncoDirect?

A: No, you don't have to do that. The daily sync process will automatically synchronize the enrollment from BroncoDirect enrollment.

Q: Can I restore the student that I already removed?

A: Yes, you can restore that student by adding him/her manually. Click here to review the steps. However, all information connected to that student (grades, discussion postings, submitted assigment or test, etc) will be lost.
