Before you start reviewing the assignments, it is really
recommended that you create a folder and name it with your course and assignment
title, for example, Bb101_assignment1.
To downlaod or retrieve the submitted assignments, there are two options:
retrieveing single assignment and mutiple
assignments.
Retrieving Single Assignment
To retrieve, review and grade an individual student’s assignment, here
is the following procedure:
- Click on the Control Panel on the left side of the page.
- Click on Gradebook under Assessment option.
- Find the student whose assignment you would like to review and click on
the ! link next to the student’s name in the corresponding
assignment column. “!” means needs grading
(Please see the image below).
- If you want to enter the grade manually, just simply enter the grade
in the text field under the grade column. Otherwise, click on View.
- Download the file/s, enter the grade, add feedback for the student,
and make private instructor Notes, if needed, that is invisible
to the student.

To retrieve and review multiple assignments, you can do these following
steps:
- Click on the Control Panel on the left side of the
page, click on Gradebook.
- Click on the Assignment column name, for example, “Assignment 1” or
whatever you have named your assignment.
- Here, you will see the assignment Item Options.
Find Item
Download and click on it.
- You can select the students, whose assignment you want to review and
grade.

After you click on Submit, Blackboard creates a .zip file.
That zip file is a compressed file that contains of the assignment files.
- Click on You may Download Assignments link to download
the assignments.
- Hit Save button and browse to where you want it to be
saved.
- Since this is a zip file, you need to uncompress it. Go to the
folder where you saved that file, for PC users, right
click on it, select
