I did not successfully complete ENG 96. What course do I take now?

If you did not pass your ENG 96 course, or if you are an EO665 student that was for some reason unable to take ENG 96, EFL will offer sections of ENG 96 in the first summer session of 2014. If you are unable to take these courses, you should enroll in ENG 108 in the Fall.

I passed ENG 095 and/or ENG 096, and I was supposed to take ENG 104. ENG 104 is no longer offered. What course do I take?

If you were eligible for ENG 104 because you took and passed ENG 095 and/or ENG 096, you may enroll in any of the culminating classes in the three sequences: ENG 107, ENG 109, or ENG 110. I passed ENG 095 and/or ENG 096, but I didn’t pass ENG 104. Now ENG 104 is no longer offered. What course do I take?
If you passed ENG 095 and/or ENG 096 and then took but did not pass ENG 104, you also may enroll in any of the culminating classes in the three sequences: ENG 107, ENG 109, or ENG 110. If you entered Cal Poly eligible for ENG 104 but did not take it, you should enroll in either ENG 110 or the stretch option, ENG 108/ENG 109. Check out the Composition Courses page for a description of the learning outcomes to help you make the best choice.

I am currently enrolled in an ESL section of ENG 102. What course do I take now?

There are specially-designated sections of ENG 109 for ESL students in the ENG 102/103 sequence. Enroll in ENG 109, and look specifically for classes in sections 30-39.
