League
of Women Voters of California
A nonpartisan political organization that encourages the informed
and active participation of citizens in government, works to
increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences
public policy through education and advocacy.
DNet (Democracy Network)
A project of the League of Women Voters Education Fund and
the Center for Governmental Studies. This interactive site allows
candidates to enter their own statements and positions on issues
of the candidates' choosing. Participation is open to all
candidates on the ballot. Select your state to find information
on the upcoming state elections. Don't know the candidates running
in your state? Check here. DNet California provides information
on California's upcoming elections, registration deadlines, and
ballot measures.
2000 Election Website
This site contains November 7, 2000 propositions and initiative
updates, lists of candidates for each state, an on-line copy
of the Voter Information Guide, the 2000 Elections Calendar of
Events and links to campaign finance information. Additionally,
this site will have live election night returns of the California
General Election starting November 7 at 8:00 p.m. and updated
every five minutes
Politics 1: Presidency 2000
Provides access to web sites of the presidential hopefuls,
covers the states races, and links to political parties. Also
has a directory of political debates and issues. A non-partisan
site.

Election 2000 Presidential Debate Schedules
The Commission on Presidential Debates was established in
1987 to ensure that debates, as a permanent part of every general
election, provide the best possible information to viewers and
listeners. Its primary purpose is to sponsor and produce debates
for the United States leading presidential and vice presidential
candidates and to undertake research and educational activities
relating to the debates.
