The Engineering Technology Department has been in existence since 1971 but in the early years there was only the one Engineering Technology major with many options including Electronics. In the 1990's after an accreditation visit the two largest options petitioned the CSU to make Electronics ET, and Construction ET, separate majors with the remaining options under the ET General (Mechanical/Manufacturing) major. Later in the 1990's the ETE major was changed to Electronics and Computer ET or ECET, click on a picture to find out more.
