On page 807 of the textbook, lines 2 and 3, the units should read as follows:
Vu/b should be (lb/ft, N/m)
Vn/b should be (lb/ft, N/m)
Equation 24.3 produces values in lb/ft or N/m.
Likewise, the units for Equation 9.6 (p. 312) and 9.9 (p. 314) should be (lb, N)
This should solve the problem we discussed in class.
