After editing a Library item Dreamweaver has the option to update the Web site immediately or postpone until later

Templates

Templates can be created from any Web page

Templates combine locked and editable regions

When templates are altered pages build from them may be automatically updated

A default template can be created so each time File>New is selected the template is used.
