CRITERIA
Successful applicants will have a minimum of:
Accepted Interns will be admitted as Conditional Students in the Master of Science in Agriculture, Nutrition and Food Science Option and will receive 6 units of graduate credit. Upon completion of the Internship, they may elect to remain in the Graduate Program if they have an overall GPA of 3.0 or with consent of the Graduate Coordinator.
Interns with graduate student status are eligible to receive financial aid.
The eligibility for financial aid is determined by the Federal Government not
the Department of Human Nutrition and Food Science.
Applicants who have completed academic requirements more than 5 years before
application to the internship will need to document recency of education or
experience. This may be a combination of:

9 upper division college or graduate-level courses in areas related to the
dietetic profession
A Recency of Education Form is available on this
website and must be included with your application.
Some practice hours may be waived. Refer to the Policy
to Waiver Hours for Prior Learning. After reviewing the Policy, contact
the Program Director for further information.
INTERVIEWS
Selected applicants will be contacted between February 27 through February 29, 2008 to schedule an interview. Please be sure to leave an email and a phone number where you can be reached during that time. Interviews will be conducted March 12 and March 13, 2008 by a committee consisting of Cal Poly Pomona faculty and nutrition services staff from the participating hospitals.
The in-person interview is a mandatory part of the selection process. We appreciate the opportunity to get to know the applicants to the program.
All applicants will be given fair consideration; however, some preference (5 out of 127 points) will be given to those students who have completed a minimum of 40 units at Cal Poly Pomona.
Fourteen to fifteen full-time interns
are accepted annually.
