1997 Economic Census (US)
An important source for data on manufacturing and service industries, done every five years,
1992, 1997, 2002, etc.
Economic Statistics Briefing Room (ESBR)
The ESBR provides access to current Federal economic indicators. It provides links to a number
of Federal agencies, who maintain and update by the data. The indicators include employment,
income, money, prices, and production.
Financial Trend Forecaster
This fee-based service includes free data on inflation, including historical charts.
FRED® an Economic Time-Series Data Base
FRED, from the US Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, provides historical
U.S. economic and financial time series data. These include US interest
rates, monetary and business indicators, price indexes, Gross Domestic Product
(GDP), and monthly banking data. The data can be captured as ASCII files.
