What we're up to --

The goal of Differences is to inspire a more open discussion on campus about community and diversity, and to encourage us all to

• speak out instead of cautiously walking on eggshells
• honor and learn from our worthy opponents
• build on what we know, explore what we don't know, and know the difference
• seek out what's most unfamiliar or unsettling
• value mistakes -- they're our best teachers
• have the guts to risk anger--from others and ourselves
• keep expanding the range of cultures that nourish us
• remember that good change, like dancing, means sometimes stepping on toes
• have an exhilarating time as we go
