Applied Research

I am interested in sustainability and the development of guidelines and criteria for the design of sustainable pavement structures. Recycling and reclaiming pavement materials is one way to become more sustainable. Using maintenance and rehabilitation methods that minimize the use of fossil fuels and reduce green house gas emissions is another step towards sustainable pavements. Designing and managing pavements with the well being of future generations in mind will take us even further.
