What do you do when your computer begins to run slowly? You may temporarily solve the problem, but the real infection has just begun. Commonly used websites like Twitter, Limewire, and Torrent may have made your computer a victim of malware. Trojans, Bots, and spyware are all common malware you may be infected with; come learn how to detect and protect against these elusive threats.
Trojans,
bots, and spyware are all designed to allow hackers remote access
to specific computer systems. These malware can then collect information
about users without their knowledge, and perform various operations
from running automatic distributed computing software,
to data theft, exploiting web browser vulnerabilities, and spreading
worms and Trojan horses.
Management
Information Systems Student Association is an organization focused
on enabling students to explore careers in IT and build his or her
network. We are proud members of the
Los Angeles Chapter of ISACA,
which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the continued development
and enhancement of the information systems audit and control profession
by providing benefits to its members and to the professional community-at-large.
All majors are encouraged to join MISSA and learn about career opportunities
