The Nasa Rover Project is
a multidisciplinary effort by Cal Poly Pomona students to design and build
and autonomous robotic navigation system. I was privileged to be asked to
assist with the fabrication of machine parts used in the wheel and drive assembly,
and the robotic arm. The total work on my part consisted of machining 15
or 20 parts and took about 40 hours of extra curricular time in the ME Projects Lab during
the spring quarter of 2004.
