Dish Generator Computer Model
This program is currently being written in Visual
Basic. It accepts certain design criteria such as dish diameter, operating
temperature and pressure and various material properties like thermal conduction
coefficients, thermal expansion coefficients, allowable stresses at temperature
etc., and then outputs design specifications such as optimum pipe length
and size, turbine fan blade size, shape and number of stages, theoretical
power output, and most importantly a material cost analysis. It is currently
waiting on the steam tables program to be completed and incorporated. At
a later date it will output CAD file solid model specifications for the physical
design, which will can then feed into a finite element analysis to predict
thermal gradients, stresses and flow parameters with hopefully a reasonable
facsimile to reality.
