What is the Bilingual Authorization?
The Bilingual Authorization is an authorization that you can add on to a Multiple Subject, Single Sugject, or Education Specialist credential. It permits you to develop students' first and second languanges in the subjects and grade levels authorized by your credential. At Cal Poly Pomona the Bilingual Authorization is available in Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
The Bilingual Authorization can be obtained concurrently with your primary credential. If you are currently obtaining a Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Education Specialist credential a you find information about the Bilingual Program for teacher candidates here.
