Few universities can come close to matching the quality of our 18,000-square foot education center, built entirely with contributions from the industry itself. Current facilities include a full production kitchen, a smaller test kitchen equipped for research, a lecture-demonstration theater, a hotel classroom, and computer laboratory. In addition, students have the unique opportunity to train and work in our full-service Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch.
But what's more, a new $10 million building and endowment gift, and $5 million in additional hospitality industry contributions, have made it possible for the Collins School to expand our education center. This truly exceptional 22,000-square foot expansion includes classroom laboratories, a new student center, a library, seminar and computer lab space; and a one-of-a-kind Beverage Education Center complete with wine cellar, living wine library and classrooms specifically designed to prepare students for marketing wine and beverage industry products.
