Hospitality professionals are expected and encouraged to be involved in the surrounding communities through their involvement in professional organizations clubs. Students are encouraged to join at least one of the clubs at The Collins School to develop leadership experience and gain connections within the hospitality industry. Hospitality recruiters consider student involvement an asset for the industry.
The Collins School 's honor society is Eta Sigma Delta International Hospitality Management Society. Only HRT juniors and seniors with a GPA of at least 3.25 are invited to join.

Hospitality Management Council (HMC) - Each Collins School student is a member of this council by default. The ASI Senator is the liaison between Associated Students, Inc. (ASI), The Collins School students and The Collins School administrators.
