Lobby Day 2005

Assemblymember Jackie Goldberg addressed CSUEU Lobby Day participants from all CSU campuses. Goldberg is carrying Bill #AB 529 for CSU employees. This Bill would allow CSU employees to appeal reasonable accommodation and interim disability denials to the State Personnel Board. This Bill would also provide a way for employees to maintain work status since workers compensation is often readily denied to injured workers, leaving employees with no health insurance, sick leave or vacation pay.

Dayna Ramos, CSUEU employee in the Sacramento office celebrated her 40th Birthday during Lobby Day and was recognized by the participants with a “DIVA” apron, because she takes care of all travel of CSUEU members, as well as provides support and organization for all Division events.

Vicky McLeod, Vice President of our Chapter with her mother, Assembly member Gloria Negrete McLeod who authors many Bills for CSUEU employees.
