Celebrating 50 years of Landscape Architecture Education
The Cal Poly Pomona Department of Landscape Architecture would like to cordially invite you to an event that celebrates the collective past, present and future of the Department of Landscape Architecture. This event is an opportunity to reconnect with friends and former faculty and serves as a moment in time as we look toward the future.
The theme for the 50th Anniversary Celebration is Expanding Terrain. Academically this concept explores Cal Poly Pomona as a central figure to the expansion of the profession and discipline of Landscape Architecture over the past 50 years, and its future influence yet to be determined. Socially the concept connects to the reconstitution of old friendships and the emergence of new ones with colleagues and the Department. This concept also openly promotes new ideas and input from our friends while positioning the event [and department] as a collective think-tank.
The Department of Landscape Architecture hopes all will attend [friends, family and alumni] in order to take stock of who we were, who we are and where we are headed. We will be marking the event with a weeklong celebration of the Department’s many accomplishments through out the last half-century.
