The University Library has a copy of the ARRL Handbook for Radio Amateurs as well as a full complement of educational books that will teach you all you need to know to pass your tests. Note that it is important to study books published after April 15th, 2000 because the question pool for the exams was changed on that day. Alternatively, you may choose to buy the books directly from the ARRL or from a local book store or HAM shop. Current exam sessions within 20 miles of Cal Poly can be found here, courtesy of the ARRL: Updated Exam Session List Want to know what an exam is like? Take a sample exam using the same questions that are on the real exam - its easier than you might think! Want to design and build your own antenna? W4RNL is the place to go for instruction on computer modeling of antennas and practical design. Information on design and construction of practical magnetic loop antennas at JO21FF's site.
