This is the first leadership
summit of its kind in Los Angeles bringing together aspiring young students, the hospitality industry
and partners in higher education.
200 LA-area high school students will participate in this half-day event featuring industry speakers, tours of hospitality venues at LA Live and a networking lunch. Students will also receive information on California State University, community college and financial aid.
Students will receive behind-the-scenes tours of STAPLES Center, Nokia Theater, JW Marriott and Wolfgang Puck Catering at the LA Live Plaza. The tours will highlight the diversity, size and opportunity in the hospitality industry.

Carlito Jocson, partner and corporate executive chef for Yard House Restaurants, will share his inspiring story as our keynote speaker during breakfast.
Hospitality industry leaders are committed to developing promising, young talent in our communities. The student-industry networking lunch will take place at STAPLES Center from noon-1:30 p.m. on Nov. 27 and provide high school students an opportunity for mentoring, guidance and learning more about possible careers. The advisory boards of the CRA Los Angeles Chapter, the California Hotel and Lodging Association, CSU Hospitality Management Education Initiative and The Collins College will be participating along with LA Live businesses. If you are interested in participating in the networking lunch, please RSVP to Erin Mascho by Nov. 19.
