Dr. Margie Ferree Jones is an Associate Professor at The Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona.  She is a certified sommelier and a certified wine educator (CWE).  She has been a wine judge at several international wine competitions.  Margie is a board member of the Society of Wine Educators (SWE) and is involved in a number of other wine related organizations. 

Margie has a Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University and a master’s degree in hotel administration from Cornell University.   In addition to being an instructor for beverage-related coursework at the Collins College, Margie regularly teaches the capstone leadership course for seniors and has taught courses in marketing, special events, and food & beverage during her tenure at Cal Poly Pomona.  Margie has been the curriculum chair for the college since 2001.

Prior to joining the Collins College faculty, Margie worked as a manager in food & beverage with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.  She has also worked for VMS Realty, Hyatt Hotels, and RCI, Inc.
