Bruce has an extensive background in hotel management. In his 33 years with Marriott he has worked in most of their brands, including Ritz Carlton, Renaissance, Marriott Vacation Club, Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inns by Marriott and the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa.
Bruce was raised in Pasadena, California, and earned his bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at The Collins College of Hospitality Management, Cal Poly Pomona. Bruce and his wife Sara have four daughters: Katy (28), Hannah (23), Anekah (10), and Astrid (7).
