Seth Larson ’02 is a sales representative for Newport Meat Company in Irvine, Calif., and currently lives in Westchester with his wife Jennifer.
A native of Northern California, Larson grew up in the restaurant industry and had his first job as a busboy by the age of 13. He took a tour of The Collins College of Hospitality Management at 15 and knew that was where he wanted to go to college. Larson arrived at Cal Poly Pomona and The Collins College three years later.
While in school, Larson joined Sigma Nu Fraternity and became the 2002 Hospitality Management Council President. He spent the summer of 1999 in Mammoth, Calif. as an intern for Whiskey Creek Restaurants. After Mammoth, Larson worked for Mr. Stox Restaurant in Anaheim for the remainder of his college years. Upon graduation, he went to work for Lawry’s Restaurants Inc. and spent time as a restaurant manager at the Tam O’Shanter Inn, Lawry’s The Prime Rib and the Five Crowns. In 2007, Larson started working for Newport Meat Company as a salesman. His background in the hospitality industry has proven to be invaluable in his current career.
As a founding member of the Collins Hospitality Society, Larson is serving his second consecutive term as secretary and is excited to work with fellow alumni to build the network that The Collins College deserves.
