NEWS and ANNOUNCEMENTS

11.17.09

Hello initiates

Just to let everyone know that our next meeting won't be until Winter Quarter. Our 5th meeting will be held on January 5th, 2010 (see the Calendar page). Please make sure to remember to attend

Couple notes on initiation requirements. Your key projects are due on January 19th, 2010. Also, if you are currently taking Vector Dynamics (ME 215) this quarter, remember that you must receive a C- or better in the class in order to continue initiating. Finally, make sure to stay ahead of your club meeting and event participation requirements.

If you have any questions, feel free to email any of the officers. Best wishes to all those who are attending the XE conference this week.

Good Luck on the rest of the quarter and enjoy your holiday break.

Hello initiates

The excel file containing all the key construction project groups has been posted in the Initiates section. I also assigned people to random groups if they did not get the chance to join one at 2nd meeting.

I also wanted to remind all of you that you HAVE to attend all meetings until banquet (8 left) as they are mandatory for initiating. Make sure you sign the sign-in sheets because they are recorded. Your attendance will determine whether or not you will be initiating in April. There's only 2 left this quarter, 4 in winter, and 2 in spring.

Hello Chi Epsilon initiates

This is a reminder that Chi Epsilon is having their 2nd meeting on October 13th in Bldg 17, Room 2646 during U-Hour (12-1pm). If you plan on joining, the intent to pledge forms are due at the meeting, no exceptions! It is the first page of the pledge packet labeled "NECESSARY INFORMATION NEEDED FOR HEADQUARTER FORMS."

We will be discussing everything you need to know about the Chi Epsilon Pacific District Conference 2009 at Cal Poly SLO. You will also be forming groups of 4 for the key construction project.

And of course, food will be provided. We will be giving In 'n' Out to Chi Epsilon members and initiates (when you turn in your form).

Finally updated!

Hello Everyone! My apologies for the delay, but yes, this website is finally updated! Not all pages have been updated fully yet, but its something I'll be working on for the next week or two. For the time being, I will keep both this website and the alternative site at http://cppxe.webs.com updated to avoid confusion, but since this is our main website, I strongly recommend using this site from now on.

Congratulations to all of those who were invited to initiate this year! We recommend that you thoroughly review your initiation packet so that you can begin planning ahead on the rest of your initiation process. Make sure you stay ahead of your deadlines and don't put anything off until the last minute. A good thing to get started on early is the club meeting requirement. Remember, you need to attend 4 ASCE meetings and 4 other Civil Engineering club meetings in order to be initiated.

Don't forget to come to our second meeting on Tuesday October 13th. Your intent to pledge is due that day, so please remember to complete it and bring it on that day.

The Job Fair Page along with a few other pages have not been fully updated yet. If you have any questions regarding any information on the site that may appear outdated, feel free to e-mail me.
Best of luck to you all!
