Prof. Sharma is seeking undergraduate and graduate (MS) students to engage in publishable research projects in the areas of biomolecular simulations and computational protein structure prediction. Students with interdisciplinary interests in any of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: applied math, biology, biotechnology, chemistry, chemical engineering, computer science (esp. programming), mathematics, physics. Prof. Rego is seeking students to continue academic year research in organic chemistry at the University of Colorado (as part of a collaborative National Science Foundation, NSF, grant).
The NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program is an excellent opportunity for students to gain direct experience in a research intensive environment via a paid summer internship. A list of REU sites across multiple disciplines can be found here (note that some programs are based in China, Germany, and Thailand!).
