Construction Engineering Management Association is a club organized by the students of the Construction Engineering and Technology program at Cal Poly Pomona. The Construction Engineering Management Association (CEMA) club allows the students in the Construction Engineering Technology program raise funds to facilitate the expenses in their AGC Reno Competition by holding the Annual Golf Tournament, quarterly Bar-B-Q’s sponsored by the industry, and our Annual Banquet.
CEMA also offers its members awareness of the many job openings within the industry. CEMA members have the great opportunity to interact with industry speakers as these speakers share their experiences within the industry. They distribute a great amount of valuable information that can be utilized in the student’s future. Many of the times these speakers follow up with interviews and offer students summer internships in addition to field trips to some of their construction sites.
Throughout the year, CEMA also gets involved in other school activities. Last year we were honored to participate in adding the “P” on the hill. This year we are involved in laying out the concrete slab for the participating float in the Annual Rose Parade. |
