The Department of Education has received a special allocation to support teacher recruitment. We have designated the funds to provide tuition scholarships for teacher candidates to complete the prerequisite courses this summer. The purpose of the scholarships is to enable teacher candidates to be fully prepared to enter the credential program in fall 2013 or winter 2014. To assist those who wish to take more than one course during the summer session, the prerequisite courses have been scheduled so that there is no overlap. (See schedule below). Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the priorities listed below until all the funds have been expended.
