During the junior and senior years, courses in professional education (TED prefix courses) may be taken from the elective units allowed in the major. Course work taken while an undergraduate may be petitioned for graduate credit if the courses are not required for graduation (for a maximum of 13 units). These courses must be upper division or graduate level in the major, in the Department of Education, or directly related to increasing the student's competency as a teacher.
