Classroom Strategies that Promote English Learner Success Workshop by Dr. Ernestine Riggs

The workshop will be on Saturday August 28th from 9 am to 1 pm in the Bronco Student Center - Ursa Minor. Registration for this event is $30 which includes parking and lunch. Please download the registration form and submit it to Arleen Dalgleish by email or by fax at 909-869-5416. If you have any question please contact Arleen Dalgleish at 909-869-3060.

Educator and author, Dr. Ernestine G. Riggs, is an Assistant Professor at Loyola University Chicago, teaching undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of reading, writing, research, character education, classroom management and critical thinking skills.

Dr. Riggs' philosophy is that every child has the innate ability to learn and succeed in school and life, but that school and society often extinguishes the flame of their ability. It is her belief that with a great deal of love, nurturing, authentic instruction, understanding, and encouragement, the cognitive spirit or the will and determination to strive to be and do one's best can be rekindled.
