75 Acts of Kindness

In honor of Cal Poly Pomona’s 75th Anniversary, the Center for Community Engagement launched a community service campaign: “75 Acts of Kindness.” This initiative, designed to mobilize the caring power of the Cal Poly Pomona community, encouraged groups to adopt a project that would benefit a local community nonprofit organization.

Some projects were large, some small, some a one-time event, others ongoing, some were awareness events, others were fundraising activities—but all focused on meeting a tangible need of a local community partner.

One of the best things about “75 Acts of Kindness” is that service to the community by Cal Poly Pomona volunteers and service-learning students is nothing new or unusual. This is who we are at Cal Poly Pomona! Our University’s collaborative partnerships in our community will continue to grow in coming years.

We at the Center for Community Engagement invite you to read how the Cal Poly Pomona students, staff, faculty, and administration participated in making a difference in the world. And, please join us soon for future Acts of Kindness!
