Alumna Receives National Award For Young Professionals

Elena Einstein College of Business Administration alumna Elena Einstein was recently honored with the "Top Professionals Under 40 in Contract Management"award by the National Contract Management Association. She was one of 25 people in the country to be recognized.

Einstein, a 2004 graduate who studied e-business and contract management, works at The Boeing Company as a contracts manager and oversees its $550 million commercial satellite programs. She also is pursuing her doctorate in organizational leadership at Pepperdine University.

Elena is credited with recruiting young people to the contract management profession by establishing mentoring and outreach programs. She also has revived membership for the San Fernando Valley NCMA chapter. At Cal Poly Pomona, Einstein has volunteered for Professor for a Day and worked with Finance, Real Estate and Law Professor John Wyatt III to prepare and encourage students to take contract management certification tests before they graduate.
