As a polytechnic institution, CBA is committed to integrating a business education with meaningful real world experiences. These programs – what we call Signature Experiences – enable our students to apply what they learned in the classroom as well as develop a set of essential skills: creativity, leadership and team-building.
Our Signature Experiences include:
- Poly Presents: Business students collaborate with engineering majors to create a startup company. In this yearlong class, students learn how to take a new technology and introduce it into the marketplace including product development, production planning and marketing. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
- Bronco Startup Challenge: Aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their business idea to a panel of judges who award up to $10,000 in cash prizes. Entrepreneurship professors and student leaders help competitors create a business plan and craft a persuasive pitch. For more information, contact email@example.com
- Cybersecurity: CBA offers robust opportunities for real world application of cybersecurity. The Western Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition allow student teams to protect a computer network from a group of skilled hackers and our LAUSD partnership enables students to teach and serve as mentors to middle school and high school students interested in cybersecurity.
- Leadership Forum: A special speaker series that invites thought leaders onto campus who can inspire and motivate student leaders to transform business and society. Previous speakers have included Mike Sheldon of Deutsch LA and Daymond John of FUBU clothing.
