Career Fairs & Recruiting Events
Cal Poly Pomona Career Center recruitment events are designed to connect recruiters with students and alumni who are seeking part and full-time jobs, internships, co-ops, volunteering and graduate school educational opportunities. Your organization will gain visibility on-campus, while providing company information, gathering resumes, networking and recruiting from our diverse student population.
Exposure: The Fall and Spring general fairs offer industry specific sections which are selected during registration. Sections are color coded and students use maps to navigate through the fair. Prior to all fairs, including the Graduate & Professional School Fair, an email is sent to majors of your choice, informing them about upcoming event attendance.
Streamline: Our online job board, BroncoConnection, provides employers free job posting opportunities. Posting your position on BroncoConnection in conjunction with attending the fair will streamline your recruitment process. Students can review your position description, view your company overview, and prepare in advance to meet the day of the event. In order for students to view your company overview and position description when you are attending a career fair, you must login using your BroncoConnection username and password on the “Register to Attend Page”.
Involvement: Participate in Resumaniac, a "Speed Date" type event where you provide resume coaching to prepare students for the career fairs. Register through the event registration link.
Networking Events: Attend the Senior/Alumni Networking Breakfast. With your attendance to this pre-fair networking event, companies will have one-on-one time with over 40 graduating seniors and alumni. Space is limited so register now before the deadline for this event upgrade through the Fall and Spring general fair registration sites. Sponsor and attend the Breakfast with Industry Networking Event. Recruiters meet with members from the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Society of Hispanics in Science and Engineering (SHSE) and Women in Engineering (WE). Register for this event through the Engineering Fair registration site.
Advertise: The Career Center Chronicle Newspaper is distributed to over 6,000 students prior to the Fall, Engineering and Spring Career Fairs. The information include in the advertisement provides your company great exposure. See sample Career Chronicle (PDF)
Discounts: If your company has Cal Poly Pomona Alumni employed, receive 5% off your career fair registration(s). Take advantage of the Multi-Fair Discount for an extra 15% off (Two or more career fair registrations before 9–18–14).
