Experimental Stream Research Exhibit

The centerpiece of this exhibit is the Ferguson Flume, a research-grade artificial stream system that allows changes to the substrate as well as to the water speed and temperature. The flume is used to study the habitat preferences of California native fishes. With this information, environmental resource managers can better plan stream restorations to preserve our aquatic biodiversity.
