African Rainforest

African rainforests are located in a narrow band along the equator; more common tropical environments in Africa are savanna and thorn scrub. The African tropics are home to five of the six Great Apes (humans, common chimps, pygmy chimps, lowland gorillas, and mountain gorillas), and many well-know plants, including coffee, ebony, and bananas.
