How to Apply for Graduation

The following information was received from the Registrar on February 27, 2009:

The Registrar's Office is pleased to inform you that BroncoDirect's Apply for Graduation functionality is now available for currently enrolled graduate students. This online process replaces the paper-based method of applying for graduation and provides students the ability to submit their graduation applications with a click of a button, 24/7. Instructions for this online process are on the Registrar's Office website at: http://www.dsa.csupomona.edu/registrar/GradAppInfo.asp.

Important: Students are still required to have a Graduation Check prior to applying for graduation. This new online service does not replace or eliminate this requirement.

The following new processes will also take effect with the implementation of this new graduation application process.

Ability to Apply for a Future Term Graduation Date - Students will be able to apply for graduation one quarter in advance. For example, students who will be completing degree requirements in spring may now submit their application in the winter.

Email Notification to Students - An acknowledgement of receipt of a graduation application will automatically be sent to the student's Cal Poly Pomona email account.

Graduation Application Fee - Payment for graduation application fees may be made electronically approximately one business day after submitting the graduation application online. Please note that only paid applications will be processed by the Registrar's Office.

Graduation Application Report - A Degree Applicant Report is available to academic departments through the Data Warehouse. This report is refreshed daily during the period that graduation applications are accepted by the Registrar's Office.

Students who are not on active status at Cal Poly Pomona (have not enrolled over the last 3 quarters) no longer have access to BroncoDirect. Such students must reapply to the university, and if admitted, will then have access to BroncoDirect.
