Re-established in 1994, the Cal Poly Pomona Rodeo Club is a student-run organization dedicated to the perpetuation of the rodeo sport. The Club sponsors many activities throughout the year, including high school and intercollegiate rodeos. Rodeo Club members have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of rodeo events, and benefit from the experience and expertise of professional instructors.
Students interested in the promotion and advancement of rodeo activities through competition and participation in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.
Fall through spring quarter, we meet weekly during University Hour at the Cowboy Corner (behind Ag building).
Team members travel throughout California and Southern Nevada in the fall and spring competing in sanctioned intercollegiate rodeo events. You can find us operating the Roller-Roper at the annual Pumpkin Festival where we give people the opportunity of compete in a calf roping event upon a mechanical horse.
