Criteria to Transfer into Animal & Veterinary Sciences
The Animal & Veterinary Sciences' Programs are impacted.
To qualify to enter the Animal Science Major, Pre-Veterinary Science/Grad School option, you must have an overall GPA of 3.5 and complete 45 units, including:
- STA 120
- CHM 121/121L,
- BIO 121/121L, and
- ENG 104 or 105
To qualify to enter the Animal Health Science program, you must have an overall GPA of 3.2 and complete 45 units, including:
- STA 120
- CHM 121/121L,
- BIO 115/115L, and
- ENG 104 or 105
Change of Majors must be approved by the AVS Department Chair. When you meet the above requirements, contact the AVS Department’s Administrator in 2-123 to schedule an appointment with the Chair of the Department.
Students transferring from another University: the courses must be completed before Winter quarter/semester previous to the Fall quarter they are requesting for admission.
