Welcome to ASME's website for the 2008/09 School year.
2008/09 Officers:
Plan of attack: The goal of our ASME chapter is to bring the students and industry closer together. To give students the chance to explore the many different specialties of Mechanical Engineering, and to give industry a method of speaking directly to their prospective future employees. Mechanical Engineering can be tough, but being involved in clubs like ASME will make it easier to stick with the discipline, one that in our honest opinion is the very best choice. 09/18/08: Welcome to the new school year!! New faces will be coming to the club this quarter and we hope to see a lot of them at our first meeting: Thursday December 4th, 12:00-1:00pm in 9-303. There's lots of things to talk about and plan for this coming quarter, so be there at the last meeting for Fall to play a part in the future of the club. (Sorry this is outdated, but if I erase it I will lose my template :-D )05/13/07: Happy Mother's Day! The ME Banquet was held last Friday and it was a blast! ECLR was the next day, and we passed the baton on to the new officers. We would also like to announce the Spring 2007 Seminar "The Wanderings of a Journeyman Engineer: How A Mechanical Engineering Degree Prepares You For Anything" (flier). We'll see you there. 04/29/07: ASME is moving along like a well oiled machine, and on March 1st we had our elections for the next school year (Press Release)! There are some exciting events coming up, such as the ME Banquet and a Cinco De Mayo Barbeque, so be sure to check out the calendar page! 01/11/07: ASME's first meeting of 2007 was a great one. We made good on one of our New Year's Resolutions, being more organized. From now on, we're going to try to have some kind of agenda at the meetings, so that they're a little easier to follow.
