ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS
Articulation Office - Division
of Student Affairs
Each articulation agreement is arranged in the order of the departments
as listed in the catalog of the Community College, not in the order of
Cal Poly Pomona's catalog.
An articulation agreement is prepared to assist the college student
in selecting courses which will transfer to California State Polytechnic
University, Pomona. For articulation purposes, the community college courses
are separated into two categories as follow:
I. TRANSFER COURSES
-
A. ELECTIVE CREDIT
In accordance with the provision of California State University and
Colleges Executive Order 167, all courses which are certified by the community
college as being baccalaureate applicable will be accepted for admission
purposes and for at least elective credit toward graduation.
-
B. SPECIFIC COURSE CREDIT
Community college courses listed in the articulation agreement will
transfer toward meeting the equivalent requirements for the specific Cal
Poly, Pomona courses shown in the opposite column. If the equivalent course
units are less than the units for the corresponding community college courses,
the excess units are used for elective credit.
II. NO-TRANSFER COURSES
Courses which are not certified by the community college as baccalaureate
applicable are shown as "N/C", (NO CREDIT) in the right hand column.
* ACCEPTANCE OF THE NUMBER OF TRANSFER UNITS FROM COMMUNITY COLLEGE
IS GOVERNED BY THE CALIFORNIA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, TITLE 5: "A MAXIMUM
OF 105 QUARTER (70 SEMESTER) UNITS EARNED IN A COMMUNITY COLLEGE MAY BE
APPLIED TOWARD THE DEGREE..."
