ECE 204L is the lab for ECE 204. It contains labs on the analysis, design, building and testing of basic digital circuits. The writing of good, clear, easy to follow lab reports is stressed. PREREQUISITE: ECE 204.
Every student is required to purchase and bring to lab each week at least ten clip leads and a proto board for building circuits. A number of free parts are available in the stockroom on the 5th floor.
You are encouraged to discuss the labs with your partner and others in the lab as well as the instructor. But everyone is required to build their own circuits and take their own measurements.
Lab reports are due at the beginning of the next lab period. Organization and neatness count a lot. In particular, be sure to
Lab Notebooks in accopress (Senior Project) folders are due at the end of the quarter. They need to include all handouts including the syllabus and lab experiments together with all returned work. Use dividers to separate the major sections. If you want to be in the running for an A or B you should correct returned reports in red ink.
Points will be given for work done as follows:
Note that Engineering students cannot drop classes after the third week unless there are documented extenuating circumstances. See the College of Engineering policy.
