About Apparelscapes

photo of t-shirtApparelscapes is a micro retail business run by AMM seniors in the Fashion Retail option.  The business is organized around two distinct activities: the retail store operations and the customized clothing business.

The store operations unit markets the AM2 clothing line through retail shops on campus, the primary outlet being the Farm Store at Kellogg Ranch.  At the Apparelscapes mini-boutique you can find student designed sweatshirts, t-shirts, yoga pants, track jackets, shorts and more.  Apparelscapes students are responsible for visually merchandising and selling the AM2 line.

The displays and merchandise assortment are updated every two weeks by successive teams of students.  Apparelscapes works closely with store management to monitor sales performance and quickly adjust merchandise assortments in response to demand.

The customized clothing unit services a variety of on and off-campus clients.  At the Apparelscapes showroom, students meet with campus clubs, departmental organizations and community members to develop clothing and accessories with customized designs.  AMM students create the artwork on behalf of clients and outsource embellishment processes, such as screen printing and embroidery, and decoration with stones and sequins for products such as caps, sweatshirts, pj’s, boxer shorts and beach towels.
