Family Fun at Annual Pumpkin Festival

October 20 and November 17 The College of the Extended University is launching a new series of wine-tasting seminars designed to take the mystery out of selecting the perfect wine. Each two-hour seminar will be held at Kellogg House Pomona and will focus on tasting and describing wine, selecting wines in restaurants and storing and serving wine. Cost is $45 per person. Lisa Ling Explores Leadership Potential
October 21 Host of the National Geographic series Explorer, Lisa Ling has covered the looting of antiquities in war-torn Iraq, interviewed drug lords in Columbia and journeyed to the bottom of the Atlantic in search of gold. Her next adventure is as the keynote speaker at the "Dream, Dare, Do Leadership Conference" for Cal Poly Pomona student leaders. Visual Voices Art Exhibit
October 25-26 This exhibit features work by students and community agencies that use art as a form of healing and to increase awareness to domestic violence and sexual assault. Held in the W. Keith and Janet Kellogg University Art Gallery from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the exhibit features a speaker and light refreshments at noon. October 25-27 Millions of Americans are helping in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. Due to various blood supplies normally allocated to Southern California that are being diverted to the relief effort, local blood supplies are in need.

October 27 Try out the new XBOX interactive fitness demos and receive free health assessments and prizes at the university's Wellness Fair, sponsored by the American Red Cross, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Bronco Student Center.
