Lori
Whalen '98, Animal Science
Naturalist
Guiding
small tours through wild brush, canyons, and 40
million year-old rock formations in the
heart of Orange County is all in a day's
work for 29-year-old naturalist Lori Whalen.
"I've
gone through the same trail practically every
weekend, and you never get tired of it because
it's always changing, that's what's really stimulating
about the job," says Whalen, a 1998 animal
science graduate. "You can always learn something."

Be
True to Your School: Join an Alumni Chapter Today
As
a good networking resource and campus reconnection outlet,
Cal Poly Pomona Alumni Association chapters serve the
cultural and practical interests of alumni. Alumni can
choose from nine active chapters* or perhaps
even form a new one. Chapter activities benefit not
only the members themselves, but also the university
and Cal Poly Pomona students as well.
The
Office of Alumni Affairs encourages all Cal Poly Pomona
grads to reconnect and get involved. By joining the
Cal Poly Alumni Association, alumni can sign up for
any chapter at no additional cost. Call (909) 869-2963
or e-mail cpalumni@csupomona.edu
for more information, or simply contact a chapter president.
