Cal Poly Pomona is hosting the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships
at Mount San Antonio College, Hilmer Lodge Stadium. The Bronco men's teams were
ranked No. 1 in the nation by the Coaches' Association in the April 14 power rankings

Annual Classic Golf Tournament June

Registrations and sponsorships are now being accepted for the 25th Annual Bronco
Classic Golf Tournament at the Via Verde Country Club. Play golf and help support
student scholarships at the same time. This Bronco Golf Classic has raised over
$600,000 for Cal Poly Pomona's Intercollegiate Athletic Scholarships. Read

Offers Deferred Admission to Students Redirected to Community Colleges
The California
State University is offering guaranteed transfer from the California Community
College system to 3,800 eligible applicants who were denied admission as first-time
freshmen at eight CSU campuses for fall 2004 due to budget reductions imposed

Registration Available With BroncoDirect Online registration for
students is now available via BroncoDirect. The feature was introduced to the
campus community on April 26, and already approximately 3,000 students have used

United Nations Team Earns Honors at International Competition for Seventh Straight
Year Cal Poly Pomonas 2004 National Model United Nations
(NMUN) team accomplished another stellar performance at the annual NMUN conference,
held April 5-10 in New York City. The team won a coveted Outstanding Delegation
Award, the highest honor presented by the national conference. For the fourth
consecutive year, the team won an Outstanding Position Paper Award. In addition,
Cal Poly Pomona graduate Jennifer Franco assumed the position of NMUN SecretaryGeneral,
the top administrator of the entire conference. Read

Caligiuri Elected to Soccer Hall of Fame Cal Poly Pomonas
head soccer coach Paul Caligiuri was one of three soccer stars elected to the
National Soccer Hall of Fame, it was announced May 5 at a press conference at
the Home Depot Center in Carson. Caligiuri, who has been the universitys
mens and womens soccer head coach since retiring as a player in 2001,
will join Eric Wynalda and Michelle Akers in the class of 2004. Read

British Columbia Salmon/Halibut Fishing Extravaganza Back by popular
demand, the Cal Poly Pomona University Education Trust (UET) is again sponsoring
a magnificent salmon/halibut fishing trip to one of the finest and most elite
fishing lodges in British Columbia August 1-4. Cal Poly Pomona alumnus and UET
board member Ron Simons will be hosting this trip. Click

Camera
and Film Donations Needed The Academy for Literacy Through the
Arts, which is affiliated with the College of Letters, Arts & Social Sciences,
and is headquartered at the Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center, is in need of used
standard and digital cameras for its after school photography classes. Offered
to students in the Pomona Valley region, the classes teach various aspects of
photography. Donations of 35mm color, and black and white film, as well as camera
batteries are also needed. Donations can be mailed to: Cal Poly Pomona, CLASS,

is looking for individuals to mentor high school students, with the goal of orienting
students to careers that they may not normally be exposed to. As Cal Poly Pomona
alumni in professional careers, you have a unique opportunity to invest in local
youth! If you are willing to commit to mentoring a high school student for 2-3
