Kick off the New Year with two job fairs and a star-studded fund-raising gala to feature the Smothers Brothers. Plus, the January Alumni Spotlight shines on Ana Martinez-Holler, a 1985 communication alumna and publicist for the Hollywood Walk of Fame. For the past 15 years Martinez-Holler has worked with Who's Who in entertainment, coordinating celebrity star ceremonies at the famous landmark.

NAFTA - 10 Years Seminar and Luncheon
January 22 – The College of Business Administration will host the North American Free Trade Agreement - The 10th Anniversary Luncheon and Seminar. Join Keynote Speaker Ambassador Jeffrey Davidow, president, Institute of the Americas and U.S. Ambassador to Mexico in 1998-2002, plus a distinguished array of other speakers representing government, international business and academic research. Raíces to Host Hilda Solis Scholarship Dinner and Reception
January 23 – This annual event, named after Cal Poly Pomona alumna and Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis, is sponsored by the Cesar E. Chavez Center for Higher Education and the Raíces Alumni Chapter. The reception is in honor of eight students who will receive scholarships for their distinction in academics and campus/community service. Bring Resumes, Make Connections at Hi-Tech and Hospitality Job Fairs
January 29 & February 19 – In January, come to the 5th Annual Engineering/Hi-Tech Job Fair in the Bronco Student Union. And in February, hospitality industry majors and grads will have the opportunity to meet potential employers at the Hospitality Expo 2004, to be held at The Collins School for Hospitality Management. Catch the Bronco Booster Bus to Bakersfield
January 30 – Reserve your ticket today for the Cal Poly Pomona men's and women's basketball doubleheader in Bakersfield. Bronco fans will depart from Kellogg Gym at 1:30 p.m. and attend a cocktail reception in Bakersfield before the women's tip off at 5:30 p.m. and the men's at 7:30 p.m. Boosters will be seated in a special section behind the team bench. Founders' Celebration 2004 to Feature Smothers Brothers
February 29 – The annual Founders' Celebration falls on leap day, and the event promises to be spectacular with this year's entertainment, the Smothers Brothers. Founders' Celebration is the university's premier social and support event of the year, a special evening honoring university partners in support of the educational mission and future vision of the university. Proceeds allow Cal Poly Pomona to expand its endowment fund to provide scholarships and other academic enhancements. Read more...

First All-Class Year CME Alumni Gathering
April 24 – Although the reunion isn't until April, alumni are encouraged to RSVP by Feb. 15 for the chemicals and materials engineering class reunion. Last year, a class of '88 reunion was held and due to positive response, the department intends to make it annual and open it to all CME grads. Read more...
