- Welcome to the Web page for PHY 299 - Recitation for PHY 131
- Course Description
Physics 299 is a recitation course for Physics 131 and is designed to provide with more practice with and a deeper understanding of the concepts of Newtonion mechanics. The course is pass/fail, and the work consists of guided activities carried out during the hour of the class. However, to succeed in Physics 131, it may be necessary for you to 1) spend more time working on and reviewing the material from recitation, 2) spend additional time studying for Physics 131. Based on student learning assessments, Physics 131 has been shown to be one of the most difficult classes for many students, and you may have to spend 12-15 hours/week studying for that class.
