Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Advisory Council
The Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) Advisory Council is comprised of faculty, staff and students from across the campus. Under the direction of the Vice President for Student Affairs, the ATOD Advisory Council annually develops and reviews goals, assesses the effectiveness of campus alcohol and other drugs policies and programs, and makes recommendations to the president in support of maintaining a safe, productive learning environment at Cal Poly Pomona.
In the college setting, most of us tend to overestimate the amount of alcohol consumed by college students. Here are some statistics about Cal Poly Pomona students that you might find interesting (data from National College Health Assessment-II of CPP students, Spring 2013):
- 69% of Cal Poly Pomona students have never used marjijuana
- 45% of Cal Poly Pomona students did not drink in the last 30 days
- 98% of Cal Poly Pomona students practice one or more safe party behaviors when they socialized in the past year
