Cal Poly Pomona Ag Ed Club Scholarship

Scholarship Form

The Ag Education Club awards two applicants with this $250 scholarship. The Ag Ed Scholarship is open to all undergraduates and graduates who are members of the Ag Education Club and feel that they support the mission and activities of the club. The applicant should intend on teaching high school agriculture and demonstrate a commitment to school and community.

To apply complete the following:

1.  Complete the scholarship form

2.  Include a written statement of no more than 200 words that answers:

    • Why you want to an ag teacherProfessor Hess and students
    • Why you qualify for the Ag Ed Club scholarship
    • How this scholarship will help you achieve your goals
    • A statement about your direct personal contribution and invest toward becoming an agriculture teacher.   

3.  Turn in three copies by May 3rd to:

Applegate/Jackson/Parks Future Teacher Scholarship

This is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a graduate or undergraduate pursuing a degree in education. Must complete application and essay found at www.nilrr.org between October 1 and December 31.

Delmar Learning-National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE) Upper Division Scholarship Program

This scholarships is awards 15 students with $750 each. To be eligible you must be a junior, senior, or post- baccalaureate student who will be completing their teacher certification in an Ag teacher education program. To apply you will need to receive two letters of recommendation, transcripts from all institutions attended, and complete the application found at www.naae.org

California Agriculture Teachers' Association (CATA) Scholarship Program

This scholarship awards up to 5 individuals $500 each. In order to be applicable you must:

  • Be a fifth year post-baccalaureate student who will be completing their teacher certification requirements in an agriculture teacher education program.
  • Be accepted into a credential program and have the intentions of becoming an ag teacher.
  • Be a student member of CATA

To apply you will need to do the following:

  • Write a 400 word essay on "Why I Want to Teach Agriculture"
  • Submit ResumeProfessor with students at FFA convention
  • Description of leadership and service activities
  • Summary of expected funds for completing student teaching
  • Two letters of support
  • Unofficial transcript
  • Complete application at www.calagteachers.org
